Big Sale to Move Built Up Stock of Peace Oil: Olive Branch Enterprises’ (OBE) continues to develop its online distribution via www.peaceoil.net, the new Peace Oil Blog at www.peacoil.blogspot.com, Facebook and more recently by using Constant Contact to send email-newsletters to customers and supporters. Due to this transition and the difficult economic situation, sales dropped by almost 50% in 2009. Currently OBE has plenty of stock and is offering a substantial price reduction to speed up inventory movement. This sale began as of March 21, 2010 and will continue through April 30th. Prices for Peace Oil Original have been reduced 20% and for Peace Oil Sindyanna and Green Action 25%.
Peace Oil a Big Hit at Carmel Mission: Carmel Mission in Carmel, Northern California, promoted Peace Oil at a recent gathering of community members. Rosellen Sanna, Stewardship Director, of the mission was looking for a way to support the Palestinian people and the peace process:
“ I found your site, while googling Fair Trade olive oil in Israel. I was exploring available products, as I am developing a plan to feature olive oil from the Holy Land, as a way to express solidarity with viable peacekeeping practices between Palestinian and Israeli farmers. |

“ We had a speaker last spring, who told us of the horrors the Palestinans are suffering. I came away from that presentation deeply saddened and wondered what could our parish do to alleviate the pain and aide the peacemaking process. It seems, if people knew about your efforts, they would support by purchasing your products. Thus, my interest in your olive oil.
“ I have a plan to feature your olive oil, during Lent, in our parish, as a way to express solidarity with viable peacekeepers in the Holy Land. We currently sell Fair Trade Coffee and Chocolate every Sunday, as a way to educate people about Fair Trade, so featuring your Fair Trade olive oil would be a bonus!”
On the day of the event, David Sokal, owner of Olive Branch Enterprises, the importer, bottler and distributor of Peace Oil, was to Skype into the meeting so he could be seen on video and answer questions from the community. However, due to technical glitches he could not be heard until only a few minutes were left. Rosellen improvised using a copy of the presentation document David had prepared for the meeting.
