- Peace Oil Green Action: 100% Nabali olives. Green Action, an Israeli fair trade group, supplies this olive oil from West Bank Palestinian farmers. The Nabali is the favorite pressing olive in Palestine and its unique flowery aroma is fast becoming world renowned. 5.6% acidity*
- Peace Oil Sindyanna: mostly Barnea olives grown by Arab farmers within Israel and supplied by Sindyanna, an Israeli fair trade group of Jewish and Arab women. The blog begins in May 2009 with David
Sokal's trip to the West Bank with Avi Levi, director of
Green Action. David, owner of Olive Branch Enterprises
(importer of Peace Oil), met with the farmer and press operator
that made the olive oil for Peace Oil Green Action.
See Living in the Dark for the
full story.
Recent blog updates include more on the excellent work of Green Action. See SAHA, an Israeli Fair Trade Revolution. Also David Sokal offers some tantalizing
suggestions for using Peace Oil: Peace Oil in Your
Kitchen and on Your Plate. Add your recipe and serving
ideas. We look forward to hearing from you. |

Sindyanna of Galilee teaches job skills to Arab Israeli women who traditionally have stayed at home. In the basket project they experience life out of the home and the pride of learning a job skill. The women earn income from sales of the baskets. |

When you buy directly from PeaceOil.Net we have more
of the financial resources needed to continue buying olive
oil from the fair trade groups so they can continue to do
their important work.
Read more about Green Action, Sindyanna and Canaan at PeaceOil.Net and on our blog. I think you'll agree that supporting these groups is a great idea, especially since you get to enjoy the wonderful olive oil of Palestine.
